IB CAS PROJECT-LIQUID DETECTOR
The purpose of this project is to design a liquid detector, which rings the alarm when the infusion liquid has run out in hospitals and give it to local clinics for free.The aim of this design is to reduce the tension of nurses’ work by reminding them when to replace the infusion bottles.
By doing this project, group members learnt to write the program for the Arduino chip, which is used to ring the alarm. Afterwards, we designed the outer case to beautify our product as soon as we connected all the sensors and reactors to the chip.After all, we gave this product to the local clinics for free. During the process of detector designing, our comprehension of the Arduino programming is elevated, along with the abilities to help others.
The outcome apart from the detector itself is a video, which lasts approximately 15 minutes, to show others about our achievements and applications of the product.
Even though this project was completed, we will still carry on with this detector to try to make it better, and we hope such detector could be used in hospitals one day in the future to help more and more people.
